Kristy Longpre, PhD
Director of Operations
Kristy is a proactive, forward-thinking, creative and agile leader with over 15 years of drug development experience in human and veterinary pharmaceuticals. Kristy was previously an associate director in project management at DTx Pharma, a biotechnology company creating novel RNA-based therapeutics to treat the genetic drivers of disease, where she assisted in streamlining multiple pre-clinical programs to identify lead compounds. While at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Kristy worked as Senior Manager in the Development Program Management department within oncology on multiple cutting-edge monoclonal antibodies (mAb) programs.
Kristy first began working with Denise at Kindred Biosciences, a veterinary pharmaceutical company, where she was employee #2 and helped set up and lead several of the clinical programs. While at KindredBio, Kristy had several roles, including leading and managing cross-functional teams within biologics development, manufacturing, assay development, clinical development, operations, and QA.
Kristy earned her B.A. from Rutgers University, Newark in Chemistry and her Ph.D. in Endocrinology and Animal Behavior from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Kristy also completed a post-doc at University California, Los Angeles in a lab focusing on neuroendocrinology and animal behavior.
Based in San Diego, California, Kristy loves the outdoors and to travel to see animals in the wild. Kristy has one four-legged child, but has also fostered 30+ dogs with a non-profit group in San Diego.
